The Albion Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) works to attract and assist commercial and industrial businesses in the greater Albion area. We seek innovative, collaborative, solutions to modern business challenges, always mindful of the rich natural, economic, and cultural heritage of our community.
Lindsey Roark is the new Marketing / Communications Specialist for the Albion Economic Development Corporation. As a Marketing and Communication Specialist, Lindsey works to implement the Economic Development Corporations overall branding, communication, and marketing efforts in a variety of platforms. Prior to joining the AEDC, Lindsey served as a graphic designer for Spry Sign and Graphics, as well as marketing / design positions for Creative Graphics and Great Lake Graphics bringing a wealth of experience to Albion. Lindsey moved to the Albion area in 2017 with her husband and her now 14-year-old daughter. When Lindsey is not at work exercising her creative mind, she is busy working on their family company business, and attending any and all sports activities her child is involved in. Lindsey’s contributions to economic justice and growth for the people of Albion are amazing and the Albion Economic Development Corporation team is grateful for her generosity and talents.
The AEDC/TIFA/ABRA board is appointed by the Mayor and meets the first Thursday of each month.

The Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) plans and administers economic development activities in a special district encompassing the Albion Industrial Park and the surrounding area. Tax revenues from this area are used by TIFA to fund economic development projects.
The Albion Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (ABRA) is responsible for the redevelopment of contaminated or abandoned commercial and industrial property.
The Revolving Loan Fund is administered by the Albion Economic Development Corporation (AEDC). The Revolving Loan Fund Committee (RLF), including AEDC, Sheridan and Albion Township representatives, reviews all loan applications and approves loans up to $50,000. For loans over $50,000, the RLF Committee makes a recommendation to the AEDC Board of Directors, which has approval authority.
The work of the EDC, TIFA, and BRA is guided by the 2022-2026 Economic Development Strategic Plan.
The informational presentations are for the purpose of informing the public of the goals and direction of the authorities, including
projects to be undertaken in the coming year.
