THE BIG ALBION PLAN

The Big Albion Plan is a project spearheaded by the Albion Reinvestment Corporation (ARC) that will restore 9 historic downtown properties on S. Superior St.

The restorations are expected to create 21 new apartments and 6 storefronts for local businesses, creating new places to live, shop, and gather while beautifying central downtown Albion.

The project is currently slated for completion in Fall 2027.

How is AEDC Involved?

The Albion Economic Development Corporation also functions as the City of Albion's Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. Through the AEDC, our BRA amended the Brownfield Plan which was the first required step for the ARC team to be awarded the MEDC grant funding for this project. The BRA also reimburses some of the eligible development costs!
